Kuril lake
Helicopter exscursion to the Kuril lake, Ksudach volcano, Khodutka hot springs.

There is a legend that Kuril lake is a result of a conflict between the forces of nature. There once was a Vysokaya mountain. And it was so immense that the nearby mountains couldn’t see the sun and they were so aggravated by it that they were constantly fighting with each other. Finally the mountain became so sick and tired of them that it got up and retreated to the Sea of Okhotsk, but it left its heart where it was and hid it in a lake. On its way the mountain was followed by the river Ozernaya. Noone knows if it’s true or not.
But its fervent heart still keeps the surrounding volcanoes, rivers and springs warm. Many different animals and fish and birds took fancy to this place. They are used to people and don’t shy away from them. It is truly an extraordinary view.
We are also going to land on Ksudach volcano caldera that formed only 100 years ago as a result of a powerful eruption. Bathing in thermal springs of Khodutka volcano that intertwine into an entire river will be a perfect conclusion to the day.
9:00 a.m. — gathering at the Petropavlovsk PLC (31 Karl Marx avenue)
9:15 a.m. — departure by bus to the heliport, passenger registration, meeting with the guide
10:00 a.m. — takeoff to the Kurile lake
11:20 a.m. — arrival, tea, excursion, watching the bears and the salmon run, motor boating on the lake
2:20 p.m. — flight to the Ksudach volcano caldera, landing by the Klyuchevoye lake, excursion
4:00 p.m. — takeoff to the Khodutka hot springs, bathing, lunch
5:30 p.m. — departure to Petropavlovsk

6:00 p.m. — arrival to the heliport, departure to Petropavlovsk
