Multi-day jeep tour to Tolbachik

Plosky Tolbachik, with an altitude of about 3000 m, is characterised by an extensive summit, which is occupied by a shallow caldera with a diameter of 3.7 km, filled with glacier. In its western part there is an active crater.
In 1975, the Great Tolbachinsky fissure eruption occurred here, clouds of ash and volcanic dust covered a huge area of the territory, as a result of which all vegetation perished. From the formerly green and full of life forest remained only bare tree trunks, and this area was called "dead forest", which now fascinates with its languour and silence. The dead forest is a reminder that the power of nature is not only creative but also destructive.
On the night of 27 November 2012, Plosky Tolbachik woke up again, destroying the famous Leningradskaya moonwalker base, which in Soviet times was one of the testing grounds for lunokhods and Mars rovers. After this eruption, the surrounding landscape has changed beyond recognition, and the previously rolled-out roads and trails for climbing are buried under layers of lava or covered with volcanic bombs.
07:00 a.m. Transfer by off-road vehicles to Tolbachinsky Dol.
12:00 p.m. Stop for lunch in a cafe in Milkovo village. Milkovo.
05:00 p.m. Arrival to the Tolbachinsky Dol, accommodation in the tent camp, dinner, overnight stay.
07:00 a.m. Rise. Breakfast. Preparation for ascent to Plosky Tolbachik volcano.
08:30 a.m. We leave on off-road vehicles to the foot of the volcano.
09:00 a.m. - 02.00 p.m. Climbing (tea drinking - on the way).
02.00-03.00 p.m. - Rest at the crater. Lunch.
03.00-07.30 p.m. - Descent. Accommodation in tent camp, dinner, rest.
***On request of the participant (s) of the group -- replacement of the ascent to the volcano Plosky Tolbachik by easy trekking at the foot of the volcano (climbing on cinder cones; visiting lava flows).
06:00 a.m. Rise. Breakfast. Departure to the Northern breakthroughs.
09:00 a.m. Radial exit to the Southern breaks through the Dead forest. Visiting lava caves and cascade waterfalls. Ascent to active cinder cones. Lunch and tea drinking - on the way.
04:00 p.m. Return to the camp, dinner, rest, overnight stay.
07:00 a.m. - Rise. Breakfast. Departure to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, to the places of accommodation of the tour participants.
01:00 p.m. - Lunch in Milkovo village. Drive to Malkinsk thermal springs, swimming.
06:00 p.m. - Arrival to the places of accommodation of the tour participants.
